China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) is the only national and comprehensive machinery industry association. It was founded in March 2001 because of the industrial management system reform in China. It is composed of national and regional associations of machinery industry, enterprises and institutions, scientific research institutes and colleges voluntarily.

By the end of 2023, CMIF has 1,114 direct members and 340,000 indirect members. There are 61 public institutions and industrial associations (societies) under CMIF's umbrella.

Serve the Government

Guided by Xi Jinping thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, CMIF fully, accurately and comprehensively demonstrate the new development philosophy, serving as a good advisor and assistant for government departments to formulate and implement laws and regulations, development plans, industrial policies, and resolutely promoting new industrialization.

Serve the Industry

CMIF actively carries out economic operation monitoring of the machinery industry, organizes research on key and hot issues, and strengthens technological innovation, standard system construction, quality brand cultivation, talents training and international exchanges and cooperation to promote high-quality development of the industry.

Serve the Members and Companies

CMIF keeps in close contacts with its member companies. By organization of symposium, training, seminar and other events, CMIF helps them to understand relevant policies at the first time and make good use of them, to guide the industry and its member companies to achieve consensus, reinforce confidence and stimulate vitality as well.

Serve the Society

Focusing on Chinese modernization, CMIF actively practices social responsibility, builds and maintains a fair and just industrial ecology, carries forward the legacy of the machinery industry and helps to create a new development pattern.
